CHILDREN'S HEALTH STARCENTER MULTISPORT NORTHLAKE

The 11th Children's Health StarCenter in the DFW Metroplex. It boasts 225,000 square feet of multi-purpose athletic facility space that features two NHL regulation sheets of ice and eight basketball courts, which can be converted to 16 volleyball courts. The facility will also feature eight pickleball courts, and a Shark Club Sports Bar and Grill, planned to open in July. Located at 13850 Chadwick Pkwy, Northlake, TX 76262.

This world-class facility brings sports and leisure opportunities much closer to home for our families and their children. This development not only expands access to high-quality athletics, but also strengthens our local economy by attracting visitors, supporting small businesses, and creating lasting impact.

The Dallas Stars are dedicated to finding new and interesting activities to help children stay active while developing hockey fans for life. As part of this focus, we are pleased to offer the Rookies program, presented by GEICO, across multiple ice facilities in Texas. We want to make it easy for everyone to get on the ice and have the opportunity to play, regardless of age or skill level.

Hockey Academy: A structured 45-minute training session utilizing USA Hockey principles, featuring targeted skill station, age-appropriate drills, and small-area games. Players are divided into age-based practice times and further grouped by skill level for optimal development.

Since 1993, the DSMHL has provided an age and skill-appropriate structure for players who have advanced through our Little Rookies and Academy programs and are ready to begin team-based competition. The league continues to be run with one goal in mind – to give young players aged 4-18 an opportunity to learn and play the game in a positive developmental atmosphere that is impactful and fun!

 Learning to skate is easy and fun! It requires a little determination and a lot of practice. Whether your goal is to learn to skate backward or spin really fast, we've got the place for you to start!

The Dallas Stars Try Skating for Free Program is a free program for participants of all ages who are interested in learning how to ice skate. Each session during the program, participants will receive 30 minutes of instruction with trained coaches to begin learning the basics of skating. Skaters will have the opportunity to skate for free during the public skating session held on the day of their class (if scheduling allows) in order to work on their skills and spend some time getting comfortable on the ice.

Please note if you have particpated in any in-ice StarCenter program or "Try Skating for Free" previously, you are ineligible to participate.

We are proud to administer Learn to Skate USA in our Skating Academy. This curriculum is the only Learn to Skate program endorsed by USA Hockey, US Speed Skating, Special Olympics, and US Figure Skating. Classes are organized into age specific levels and designed for any beginner to acquire the necessary skills to enjoy the sport of Ice Skating for a lifetime!

Take the step from skater to figure skater with Rising Stars! A comprehensive program designed for beginning and aspiring figure skaters who have passed Basic 3. Rising Stars develops athleticism and artistry, helping skaters build a solid skill foundation that drives success on and off the ice. In a safe and supportive group training environment, skaters will fine-tune their fundamental skating skills and train for an in-house competition hosted at a Children's health StarCenter Facility.

Build your skills and confidence on the court with our weekly 45-minute basketball sessions designed for players of all experience levels. Beginners are always welcome, and participants are grouped by skill level to ensure a positive and supportive environment for everyone.

The Northlake Future Stars Recreational Basketball League is designed to help young athletes build confidence and develop a genuine love for the game. The season includes eight (8) regular season games, plus a minimum of one (1) championship tournament game—all played exclusively at our Children’s Health StarCenter Multisport Northlake facility. Please note: this league does not include practices.

Regular Summer Season: June - August

Cost: $179

Teams are coached by parent volunteers. Registration includes free reversible jersey.

Our Dallas Stars Metro Basketball Spring League is the perfect opportunity for athletes in 2nd grade through high school to showcase their skills and enjoy competitive play! The season kicks off on April 9, with 8 regular-season games leading up to an exciting playoff tournament that takes the top teams. Games will be held at Children's Health StarCenter Multisport Northlake. Team registration is $1,250 and spots are limited so be sure to sign up by March 1 to secure your place in the action

April 9 – June 13 | 8 game season

Adult 5v5 Co-Ed Basketball League 

Whether you are looking to stay active, meet new friends, or prove you’re the best on the court, our adult co-ed basketball league offers weekly games for all ages and skill levels.  Games are played each Friday night, with an 8 game regular season plus 2 playoff games, all games played at the Children’s Health StarCenter Multisport Northlake! Register as an individual or bring your friends and sign up as a team!

Come join us at Children’s Health Starcenter Multisport Northlake for some volleyball fun with your friends! Mini games to 5 will be played in this fast-paced challenge. Winning teams move up to the next competitive level court. Losing teams move one court down. Bring a team or just yourself. This is a great way to build your court awareness, play competitive games, and showcase all of your volleyball skills.

Cost: $10/player

ADULT VOLLEYBALL

The Northlake Adult Co-ed Volleyball League provides a fun and competitive season of 6v6 play, with all games scheduled on both Thursday and Friday nights throughout the season. Each team competes in eight regular‑season games, followed by postseason play that guarantees at least one tournament championship game. Teams may roster up to 12 players, giving plenty of flexibility for subs and consistent weekly participation. Designed for adults of all skill levels, the league offers a great mix of competition, community, and recreational play in a welcoming environment.
